Product Description
The Sun Fire X4450 is a 4-socket 2U x64 rackmount server based on the Intel Xeon processor. This server is fast, energy efficient, scalable in half the footprint. Customers can choose to run Solaris, Linux, Windows or VMware operating systems. The Sun Fire X4450 supports both Dual-Core and Quad-Core processors. With twice the memory capacity and integrated networking connectivity, and half the size as other similar systems, this system can satisfy the customer's computing requirements today and scale to meet their computing needs in the future. The server has enterprise class RAS features and embedded Lights Out Manager standard on all systems. This maximizes system uptime and simplifies system management, thus resulting in lower system administration cost. This system is ideal for virtualization and consolidation, as well as database and business processing applications.
