Product Description
Xiotech's Magnitude 3D realizes the proven benefits of clustering within an agile storage infrastructure. Patented technologies create fiber-distributed storage clusters, setting the standard for unmatched resilience, dynamic responsiveness and multiple dimensions of scale. The Magnitude 3D is a storage area networking product, comprised of distributed and clustered controller nodes (DCNs) sharing a common pool of storage. A cluster of DCNs is known as a Distributed Storage Cluster (DSC). DCNs and fibre drive bays are connected via redundant optical fibre cables. The final element of a Magnitude 3D is the ICON (Intelligent COntrol). The ICON provides storage administrators with a browser, a command line, and a Perl scripting user interface for managing a combination of Magnitudes and Magnitude 3Ds.
