Product Description
HP OpenView Operations (OVO) is a service-driven operations management solution, to keep business critical IT services up and running. It offers sophisticated management functions to improve uptime of all layers composing today's distributed IT environment: network, systems, databases, applications and internet services. As client-server application, OVO provides intelligent agents for a huge variety of hardware and operating system platforms, to allow local autonomous filtering and processing of IT relevant data. The business-relevant events are forwarded in a unique OVO message format to the central OVO management server system running on HP-UX or Solaris. Operators can perform additional analysis and actions on these OVO messages. The business impact as well as problem root cause can be graphically presented in service views. The OVO Agent for Novell NetWare allows monitoring and administration of NetWare machines; furthermore monitoring of any user defined parameter as well as SNMP Trap/Event interception is possible.
