Product Description
The Magnitude is equipped with a high-performance RAID controller, an eight-port fibre channel switch, a storage volume manager, and up to 64 drives. The combined storage capacity of up to 64 physical spindles can be mapped into 256 virtual disks (VDisks) of varying sizes and RAID levels (0, 5, 0+1). Using Xiotech's true storage virtualization, the Magnitude has the ability to stripe across and utilize all available space in a centralized storage pool--enabling storage to be centrally managed and shared with a heterogeneous server network.
