| The Axis StorPoint CD E100 Network CD-ROM Server offers a high-performance solution for users to share CD-ROMs on a network. The StorPoint supports NetWare 3, 4 , 5 environments using native TCP/IP and IPX protocols. NDS is fully supported so that the server can fully intergrated with the security of Novell Directory Services (even NDS 8 is supported). In addition to the extensive support for NetWare, StorPoint also supports Windows NT (CIFS/SMB), Unix/Linux (NFS), Macintosh (AFP), FTP and HTTP. All protocols can be used simultaneously. The StorPoint is used for sharing CD-ROM and DVD-ROM media. With attached CD-RW drives, writeable media is also supported. The server is configured and managed using any standard Web browser in combination with native NetWare toolslike NWAdnim or Console One. Installation wizards will install in NDS within minutes. The StorPoint CD comes pre-installed with all the network functionality required. Being file server independent it does not rely on intermediate communication with any file server. | |
