The WAN Driver Components are now unsupported and not recommended for use with new development. The current (final) status of the APIs in various Novell products is described below: - Asynchronous I/O (AIO) Allows applications to run with NetWare® asynchronous services, such as dial-up connections for NetWare Remote Access, NetWare, Routing, and the GroupWise® Async Gateway. Supported in NetWare 4.x, NetWare 5.x, NetWare Small Business Suite 6. NetWare 6.5 supports routing only.
- Modem Script File Allows modems to work with Novell Remote Access, Novell Routing, and BorderManager®. These products execute scripts to perform application required modem operations. The modem scripts work in conjunction with AIO and WAN-HSM drivers.
- NetWare for SAA Connection-oriented WAN DriversObsolete API. Do not use.
- WHSM Connection-oriented WAN Drivers ODI-compliant with WAN HSM extensions, WAN TSMs, and Common ISDN API (CAPI) drivers. Supported in NetWare 4.x, NetWare 5.x, NetWare Small Business Suite 6.
- WAN-ODI Connection-oriented WAN drivers Obsolete API. Do not use.
