I've been a software engineer since 1995, and have worked primarily on distributed applications in C and C++ for Linux and UNIX systems my entire career. I worked for IBM Global Services out of college, and was recruited by Novell's digitalme team in the spring of 2000. I no longer work at Novell, but from summer 2002 to winter 2006 I worked in Novell's developer relations organization, and then as an engineer for Novell's Data Center Automation project in Novell's SRM business unit until May 2008.

When I'm not at work, you might find me attending AMA Superbike or AMA Supercross races, riding my motorcycle, golfing, investing in real estate, or coaching my son's baseball team. Or you might find me at home working on my yard or just relaxing with my family. But truthfully, if you are reading this page, my intent is that when I'm not at work you won't find me at all.  :-)

Note: Some people have tried to contact me after having read an article I wrote on this site. Well, maybe only a couple. I only know the ones that succeeded. Anyway, to make this a bit easier, you can find contact information for me via my blog.

I do want my articles to be valuable to you, even though I don't work for Novell anymore. So if you have a simple question, feel free to contact me about it. Just please remember that I don't offer technical or developer support, because I don't work for that group at Novell anymore. If you are seeking for support for something I've written here, well, that's up to Novell.
