ABSTRACT:

Inorder to install GroupWise 5 (or GroupWise 5 beta) over an earlier beta you must first remove GroupWise 5 and then install three Netware patches (patches are not needed if you are running Netware 4.11). Following the procedures (listed in the readme) will make the GroupWise 5 install go more smoothly and will stop many GPFs.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

Installing GroupWise 5 beta over an earlier beta version (or re-installing GroupWise 5.0).

The attached file addresses two problems when installing GroupWise 5.0 beta:

First, three Netware patches must be applied or you will encounter GPFs in the client and especially in NWAdmin3x (patches are include in the attached file). Secondly, you must remove the old copy of GroupWise 5.0 (both files, Windows Registry items, and NDS) and then install again. Following the steps listed in the readme.txt file will solve many problems when installing GroupWise 5.0 beta over an earlier beta (or re- installing GroupWise 5.0).
