ShotMonkey is a project that aims to implement a Web-based photo management and gallery application in ASP.Net using the Mono project platform.
One way to describe the goals of this project is to say ShotMonkey should have equivalent features to "Gallery", a PHP-based photo album management tool.
ShotMonkey wants to become a nice server-side companion to projects like F-Spot and plans to integrate nicely with other client-side tools in the GNOME desktop.

[edit] Latest News[edit] Project has just started - ShotMonkeyThis project has just started. I'm researching and experimenting a little bit with some ideas and hope to have a minimal codebase soon. ShotMonkey should support a minimum requirement set and should work in any ASP.Net-compliant web server if you have enough permissions to create images and XML files in folders in the filesystem. Very interesting to this project is the upcomming release of Novell iFolder as the Simias opensource project. For now, interesting blog pieces that are food for thought are:
