PWM is an open source password self service servlet for Novell eDirectory. PWM is an ideal candidate for organizations that wish to “role their own” password self service solution, but do not wish to start from scratch.

PWM is not supported in any way by Novell. Use this program at your own risk.

Novell offers other solutions for supported password self service functionality:

Learn about PWM

See PWM in action on this demo site. To use the demo, create a new user using the new user module. In the demo version, all users have access to the admin section.

If you use PWM or are interested in using PWM, please subscribe to our announce list. This list also helps us keep track of how much PWM is being used. List volume is very low, only a few messages a year when new code is released. Other lists are also available for PWM users and developers.

The admin guide describes the installation procedure and how to use some of PWM's features.

The pwmServlet.properties file is the main configuration file for PWM. This file also describes how many of the features of PWM are used.
