| Good understanding of the source language (usually English), no fear of DocBook.

|

| Has any required equipment and a willingness to experiment with it.

| Test the lesson by following the text. Note any inconsistencies, oddities, or errors and send them to the opensuse-doc mailing list or to the author.

| Translate existing proofread texts into the target language.
|
| Requirements
| Understands the source and target language, understands technical issues, and is not afraid of DocBook.

| Create a clear layout for HTML and PDF.
|
| Requirements
| Understands typography and design. Ideally designers also know something about HTML, CSS, and XSL-FO.

| Draw graphics to illustrate complicated matters.

| Understands how to structure and draw a good graphic. Ideally illustrators also know something about SVG and can use Inkscape or other drawing programs.
