• LAN test supports testing on single or multiple NetWare versions simultaneously and multiple LAN test projects running in TestConsole. It also allows you to select the standard LAN test library or a new MP-enabled test library.
• LDI/NBI test detects a missing PRODID in the LDI file and generates a log file describing all LDI test failures.
• Verify ODI LAN Setup test validates NetWare 6.0 test setup.
• LAN classes are bundled in a lan.plugins package, and the lantest.jar file is updated.
• Initialization and Load Library tests are removed.

Removed the DOS ODI 16-bit Client Test Suite. The test requirements of 16-bit Client drivers are discontinued. The tests no longer check for "Packet Evenizing." Revised Testcon to properly record the version number on NetWare 4.2. Download and reinstall the complete test suite to incorporate these changes. Revised the documentation to reflect these test changes.

November 30, 1998

The Shutdown Test has been updated for the NetWare Server LAN Driver Test Suite (Testcon). The previous version caused occasional abends when accessing the configuration table with the driver shutdown. The new file is NW_SHUT.NLM - 11/2/98 - v1.03. The DRVLIB.NLM and DRV_NWI.NLM files have also been updated (9/24/98). Previously, the server would lock up when running the LDI/NBI test on some faster machines. Download and reinstall the complete test suite to incorporate these changes.

The official name for the Novell LAN Test Tools has been changed to ODI LAN Test Tools.
