The two most common ways to join tables are to perform an INNER JOIN or a LEFT JOIN. To find out the differences between these two joins and when you might want to use each type, click here.

Forge Project Highlight

Minosse

Minosse is a complete Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) that was developed in pure C# and mainly oriented to the Mono framework. It is based on the common ANSI/ISO SQL‑92 specification, with some custom additions (OpenGIS SFS, additional functions, etc.). The project is designed mainly as a standalone library (mdblib) that can be referenced by external libraries to manage data. A traditional client/server interface is also available. Minosse RDBMS is also a fully transactional database system that supports triggers, events, and procedures. (Currently, only C# functions are supported.) Thanks to its open design, it is suitable to be expanded by third party plug-ins, the APIs inside the project are used for collation or i18n (Text API), Geographical Spatial Calculation (Geo API), custom functions, etc. This system is optimal for an use in a medium to large data‑storage context, with no performance loss. For more information, please visit the homepage of the project at http://www.minosse.com.
