Hey folks, first update in two months! The program is being updated on a semi-regular basis, but again, I've been neglecting this site. This version brings a few new features to the table as well as addresses some major slow logic errors with the Baysian filter.
There is still a huge problem with the mail filter that somehow allows mail to come through with an invalid TO address. If this mail is spam and does not get flagged, it gets added to the notspam directory. Since it never gets delivered (invalid TO address) it is never corrected. This causes a slow degredation of the Baysian database.
The program is slowly evolving with new features being added as required. I'm sure all features are not required by everyone, but I'm pleased that this program could represent a viable solution for a multitude of system administrators.

Version 0.8 has been released! This version is completely stable and filters mail exceptionally well! The final release version 1.0 is close to completion and I thank everyone who has tried the program and gave feedback :) Enjoy!
Anti-Spam Gateway Version 0.6 beta has been released. This version corrects the problem of parsing large mail files and runs without incident.
The critical error that was plaguing the 0.5 (and probably all versions) of this program has been discovered - large attachments send the cpu through the roof, causing a cpu hog abend. Efforts are underway to correct this error. Stay tuned!
The newest version of ASG has been uploaded and is ready for download. The critical error in the previous two versions has still not been identified and fixed (or it may have been). Use with caution!

Version 0.5 is the new stable version of ASG which improved a few features, and fixed many others! View the release notes for more information.
Version 0.4 started as an optimized version of 0.3, but many new features are introduced and many bugs are fixed. Features that are included are a by-user filter list that controls what users on your local network will be watched by ASG. Also, a whitelist pruning tool has been introduced. For those using multiple servers, an optional email interface has been built in to handle whitelist, spam, and not spam reports.
This is a beta version of the program! Stay tuned as the testing continues!

Version 01. has been uploaded and is available for download. This version is ready to use to filter spam, but not ready to manage the whitelist and various other necessary features.

Hey folks, I'm plugging along with this project. I have a console configuration tool about 50% completed. The email parser is pre-alpha status and the outgoing mail parser is also pre-alpha status. The bayes database builder is 90% complete.
