Novell eDirectory, DirXML and Account Management are critical tools in managing users across different directories and different platforms. With Novell Account Management you can manage user accounts, passwords and authentication for all of your server platforms, from a single point of administration.

Through this course, you will learn about eDirectory, LDAP, DirXML and Novell Account Management on UNIX, including the concepts, commands and benefits of NAM. You will gain the skills to:

  • Install eDirectory, DirXML, and NAM on your selected OS platform (Linux, Solaris, etc.)
  • Administer user access across multiple platforms using ConsoleOne/iManager
  • Modify the pam configuration files to use eDirectory for authentication
  • Manipulate system scripts to manage users’ creation, deletion and information changes
  • Developing management applications using Novell Account Management SDK
