BorderManager
Novell BorderManager is an access and security solution that addresses these security issues. Integrated with eDirectory--Novell's powerful directory solution--BorderManager enables you to monitor, control and accelerate your users' Internet activities, ensuring that your network remains safe and available for eBusiness. Moreover, BorderManager strengthens security, improves user productivity and accelerates your network performance.
BorderManager provides stronger network security with identity-based access control and forward-proxy technology. These allow you to determine exactly what your employees are doing over the Internet and accelerate your employees' access to Internet content. BorderManager also includes N2H2 Internet Filtering solution and SurfControl Content Database. These content-filtering solutions help your company to monitor Internet usage and set and implement rules for Internet access. By combining these technologies, BorderManager ensures that harmful content is not introduced into your network from the outside and frees employees from distractions, enabling them to focus on their jobs.
Furthermore, BorderManager includes virtual private network (VPN) services that protect information transmitted between the corporate intranet and remote sites and users.
