Installing NDS eDirectory
If you already have a copy of NDS eDirectory, you are in business here. Get your disc or file for the installation. If you don't have NDS eDirectory, go to http://www.novell.com/downloads/ and download a trial version. Make sure that you have a NFTS drive for the installation, as it is required.
- Go to the NDS eDirectory installation folder and run Setup.exe.
- Do install eDirectory
- Do install ConsoleOne
- Do Not Install SLP
- Create a New (stand-alone) tree
- Do allow clear text passwords
After NDS eDirectory is installed, disable NDS iMonitor (ndsimon) by completing these steps:
- Go to the Windows Control Panel
- Select NDS Services
- Change ndsimon from Automatic to Manual
- Stop the service
