LDAP Support.  eDirectory 8.5 features an improved implementation of LDAPv3 running over SSL, which provides fast searches, auxiliary classes, referrals and controls. Such strong LDAP support provides an open structure for applications and developers and simple integration with applications that are written to this Internet standard. To this end, Novell has released the Novell LDAP Libraries for C and Java, a software developer kit (SDK) that makes developing to LDAP and eDirectory easy and practical.
