Verify Driver Setup
Now it is time to verify all information. We will be looking at a few screens to make sure that all the information is correct. Let's start with the Driver Set.
- Right Click on the Driver Set and show Properties (Figure 29).

- Single Click on the NT4 Driver object and the Click on Properties. You will see the Driver Properties Page (Figure 30). We will go Tab by Tab and verify all info. Look at the Driver Module Tab and make sure that the path is correct.

- Now look at the Driver Object Password Tab. This tab should be just as shown below Figure 31). Just for safety sake, re-enter the password and then click Apply.

- Look at the Authentication tab (Figure 32). Ensure that the user that you entered in the Authentication ID Field. Ensure that the Authentication Context is the NT Domain that you entered. Leave the Driver cache limit at 0 and then enter the password for the user that is in the Authentication ID Field. My user, for example, is the NT Administrator and its password is getmail. So I enter getmail and then confirm it and then click Apply.

- Next we need to look at the Startup Option Tab (Figure 33). It should be set to Manual.

- Next we look at the Driver Parameters Tab (Figure 34). Ensure the Domain name is correct and the polling rate is as desired.

- Now look at the Driver Parameters XML Tab (Figure 35). It is the XML representation of the previous Tab.

- Click Close and then Cancel. We have verified the Driver Set information. Now we need to look at the Driver information (Figure 36) and we will be finished.
- Expand the Driver Set Object and then Expand the NT4 Driver Object. You will see Publisher and Subscriber Objects.

- Highlight the Publisher Object and then you will see two rules in the right hand pane (Figure 37). One is a placement rule and the other is a surname-create rule. Double-Click the NT4 Placement-Rule. You will see the following screen.

- Click on the down arrow next to the DirXML Tab and you will get options to change the view. Choose the Edit XML option. You will see the following (Figure 38): Ensure that your information is formed in the same manner with the same leading and trailing slashes. If anything is missing, add it in. Otherwise things are OK. The character after the final </placement-rules> is my cursor. Please ignore it.
- If you have made changes, click Apply and then Close. Otherwise click Cancel.

- Next we will look at the Surname-Create Rule. Double-Click the Surname-Create Rule Object and then do the same as above and go to the Edit XML option. You will see the screen below (Figure 39). This is information only, do not change anything. Click Cancel.

Highlight the NT4 Subscriber Object. You will see the Subscriber Placement Rule in the right pane. Double-click the Subscriber Placement Rule Object and you will see the same type of dialog box as for the Publisher (Figure 40). Use the same method as above and go to the Edit XML option and verify the information. All information should be formed the same way with the leading and trailing slashes. Make appropriate changes if necessary, Apply changes and then close the dialog box.

Congratulations! You have made it through the install and configuration of the NT4 Domain Driver for Novell's DirXML software. Now for the moment of truth! Let's start the driver.
- Navigate back to the Driver set object (Figure 41).
- Right-Click on the Driver Set Object.
- Choose Properties.

- Highlight the NT4 Driver and Click the Start button. Once started you will see the Properties change to reflect the started driver (Figure 41).

- Now go ahead and test your install by creating users in eDirectory and in the NT Domain and see how they are synchronized.
