For partners to qualify to conduct YES certification self testing — in addition to membership in PartnerNet for Technology Partners — the following training, operational, and lab requirements must be met.
Products
The partner will provide the Enablement Manager/Engineer with access to all of the companies products within 48 hours notice (servers, workstations, disk drives, software, etc.) to be used for the following:
- Problem resolution on Developed Products.
- Validation of compatibility testing and revision testing on Developed Products.
- Validation of compatibility testing/debugging on Developed Products with alpha and beta versions of Novell software.
Configuration Requirements
Partner-developed products must meet the minimum configuration requirements for product certification testing and issue resolution, as communicated by the Enablement Manager/Engineer. These minimum configuration requirements must be met before the product can be evaluated by Novell for compliance with Novell's compatibility criteria. Any product that does not meet these requirements when received by Novell will not be tested until the requirements are met. Note that additional fees and agreements apply for Novell to conduct YES testing.
The partner must provide Novell an itemized list of the partner's products to be certified. Any instructions for installation or interface techniques with Novell Products must be provided to facilitate any Novell testing.
For certification on SUSE Linux Enterprise, the partner must agree to provide access to a copy of their product (and associated licenses) equivalent to that which was tested to Novell within 48 hours for ongoing support and development.
